In keeping with our aim to offer children responsibility and a voice in their own school and learning, we are very proud of our various groups where pupils determine and have a say in the way things are done at school. We are delighted to have:
· School Councillors
· An Eco– committee
· A Worship committee
· House Captains and Vice Captains
· A Sports Leaders committee
Elected representatives from each class (or House) work to agree priorities for change and development around the school. They then discuss their ideas with the headteacher (and possibly governors), to determine which projects might go ahead. In handling a small budget, they gain valuable experience of a number of life skills, including responding to differing viewpoints, chairing meetings and learning to perform the roles of treasurer and secretary.
