The Grinch who stole Christmas
The Grinch Who Stole Christmas

They get ready for Christmas, down with the Whos
They all loved it, especially Cindy-Lou.
Whoville was a bright and festive town.
The merry Whos down in Whoville were never feeling down.
Their houses were wonky, from top to bottom.
The Grinch was in his cave, feeling forgotten.

The Grinch hated Christmas. He was grumpy and mean.
We’re guessing that was why he was so heartless and green.
With his cynical heart, The Grinch was cold and lonely.
He lived in a dark cave that was far from homely.
The Grinch hated Christmas. He thought it was boring.
So instead, the horrible Grinch was in Mount Crumpet, Snoring.

The Grinch made a plan to take Christmas away.
He dressed Max as a reindeer, then they jumped on a sleigh.
He attached some antlers to Max with a rope,
Then off they went down the deep, snowy slope.
They were planning to steal all the festivities.
The food, the presents and even the trees!

The awful plan started at mid-night,
When the Whos had turned off their bright lights.
He went down on his sleigh with high speed.
He crashed on rooftops with Max on his lead.
The Grinch took everything, especially the trees,
But he only left crumbs, smaller than peas.

He went three-thousand feet up to the top of Mount Crumpet,
With all the Christmas presents and tried to dump-it.
But in that second, as he stopped to hear singing.
The Grinch felt warm-hearted and suddenly stopped the present binning.
Then he realised the Christmas way,
And that gifts are not the true meaning of today!

The Grinch had a change of heart and returned all the gifts to the Whos.
Returning the gifts. He had no time to lose!
The Grinch slid in his sleigh back down to Who-ville,
to make up with the Whos was his winter will.
He gave back the chocolates, the bikes and the toys,
And returned the gifts to all the young girls and boys.

The Whos forgave the Grinch for stealing all their gifts.
The Grinch being forgiven was the best thing on his Christmas list.
The Grinch and all the Whos had a massive feast,
And everyone made an amazing wreath.
The Grinch decided to never ruin Christmas again.
Next year, he’d give a pile of presents the size of Big Ben.
