Term 1 – Friendship (and Community)
We work together in a way that benefits everyone. We aim to create a sense of belonging.
Two people are better than one. They get more done by working together. If one person falls, the other can help him. Ecclesiastes 4 v 9-10
Term 2 – Respect
Respect, at Marcham, is treating people in a way that makes them feel that they are valuable, cared for and worthwhile.
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7 v 12
Term 3 - Compassion
We show concern through kind words, thoughts and actions.
And this commandment we have from Him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.”

Term 4 - Responsibility
We think about Responsibility as taking care of the things around us that need to be done. We know that taking responsibility does not always get recognised, but it is a value that builds up our community, and will make life better for all of us.
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might.
Ecclesiastes 9 v 10
Term 5 - Perseverance
We recognise the importance of our continued effort in doing something - despite it being difficult or taking time to achieve. Learning is a journey and success is working through the process of the journey as well as the outcomes.
As for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.
Thessalonians 3 v 13
Term 6 - Courage
Being courageous means being brave when you are scared or anxious. It’s about support, faith and hope.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
